Just In Times

Reading my moring LA Times (coupled with Coffee, guaranteed to get the blood boiling) I see where the IOC, in a secret vote, decided to eliminate baseball and softball. No anti American bias in that decision.
In Op Ed, David Gelertner takes Woody Allen to task, while Jonathan Chait tells us that Robert Bork really IS a right wing nut.

In reference to Bork:

"...argued against extending the equal protection of the 14th Amendment to women".

Is this a veiled reference to the ERA movement, which failed miserably and couldn't be ratified by a majority of states? The fact that that this guy thinks opposing the ERA makes one a right wing-nut is evidence of his left-wing nuttery. Also, the fact that he veiled the ERA issue with that disingenuous language shows that he's not being completely honest with us.

Do you think he's really just a left-wing nut with an agenda? Nah.

The baseball and softball people need to learn how to brib.., er, lobby better. Taekwondo managed to stay in despite embezzlement, "judging inconsistencies and the fact that no country paid for television rights for the last two world championships." [Source]
