I was in Borders loading up on stuff to read for a 4 day adventure out of town. I wanted to buy some nice bookplates to give a friend. I asked the nice tatooed and pierced woman behind the counter if they carried them. The response. . "what's a bookplate"?. Later, when I checked out, the tatooed and pierced manager was behind the counter. The nice tatooed and pierced woman asked him if they carried bookplates. His response. . "what's a bookplate".
