Yippee--Ki--Yay . . .

Eric Lichtenfeld does a smart and amusing riff on the "greatest one-liner in movie history." I've always been partial to that line, myself.

There are so many great "one-liners" in film, but I think I'd have to put " We're gonna need a bigger boat"...from JAWS right up there too, Not to mention "Badges? We don't need no stink'in badges" " They call me Mr.Tibbs!" and " YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!"....LOL

Goods ones all, "Timpleton". Heck, Scrooged and My Cousin Vinny together hold about 20 memorable lines. And let's not forget "Where do we get such men" from Bridges At Toko-Ri.

Stewdog, I don't know *any* quotations from Scrooged or My Cousin Vinny. Not saying they aren't good -- just that perhaps they're not as well known as the Die Hard line.

As for Bridges at Toko-Ri, that's stretching the defintion of a one-liner, I think. It's a great line, but is it really a one-liner?
