Election news quick roundup

Tommy Franks puts to rest Kerry's silly notion that the Bush Administration had Osama Bin Laden in their grasp and lost him in the hills of Tora Bora.

The new Fox News Opinion Dynamics poll shows Bush surging a bit, opening up a 49% to 42% lead over Kerry. The guys at Powerline lay out the promising internals for this poll as well.

Fox News also shows Bush up 5 in Ohio. Good news for this crucial state. This despite the fact that the NAACP is being implicated in offering cocaine for fraudulent voter registrations in that state (don't you just love the Democrats? -- Hat tip to "Conservative in VA" for this story). Investigators thought something may have been awry when Mary Poppins, Dick Tracy, Michael Jordan, George Foreman and Yoda all registered to vote. (Okay "Yoda" was mine but I wouldn't be surprised to see the little green guru show up with that list).

ABC News has Bush up 5 at 51% to 46%. W's climb above 50% is significant here.

National Review Online has a good roundup of what's happening in all the battleground states.

Australian Prime Minister John Howard, fresh from his election victory, wishes Bush well in his upcoming election and remarks that W has "given great leadership to the world fight against terrorism."

And lastly, here's another sterling endorsement for John Kerry. Now that he's on board with Kerry, I give up.

"Yasser Arafat endorses Kerry" No wonder Kerry was in Florida shoring up the Jewish vote. Oy!

With the key endorsement of "Yes Sir, You're a Fart" there will be no stopping Kerry. I weep for the future.
