Butterfly Ballot Blamed for "American Idol" Voter Flap
The viewing public was bemused and scandalized last night to find that technical complications would require a "revote" in this week's round of the "American Idol" competition. The root causes of this fiasco remain vague, but sources that request to remain anonymous report that the infamous "butterfly ballot" which caused such a furor in the 2000 presidential election may have worked its mischief yet again. "We noticed an anomaly, we saw that a disproportionate number of votes were coming in for Pat Buchanan, and we supsected that those votes may have been intended for Mikaylah Gordon." Reached for comment, Pat Buchanan agreed that the ballot count was suspicious, though he added "like Mikaylah's my singing voice is often compared to Bab's."

Where's Jimmy Carter when you really need him? We need to get U.N. election monitors in there now!
