Blow up your Governments
Congress has way too much time on its hands. How else do you explain the posturing, hand wringing and grandstanding that is the steroids in sports hearings. But just when you think you can't top it, the California Legislature does.
The Anaheim Angels, formerly the California Angels, formerly the Los Angeles Angels, and now the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, angered the wrong people, who lobbied for and got a bill passed. The state Assembly on Monday decided the Angels' new name amounts to false advertising and approved a bill that would require the team to disclose on their tickets, ads, and other promotional material, that their real home is in Anaheim.
Now any sports fan in Southern California knows where the Angels play. This is just beyond ridiculous.
Well, I can think of maybe ONE other thing that is sillier.

I agree that Congress should get the heck out of sports. But the Old Dominion can match your state government in silliness. See HOUSE BILL NO. 1981 relating to the "indecent display of below-waist undergarments."
On the other hand, at least this bill did not pass.
