Now who's the dumb one?

So it turns out W had a higher grade point average at Yale than John Kerry, huh? Interesting how we knew W's grades during the campaing but not Kerry's. I think I understand it now, though. See if you can follow me on this one. My theory is...now just try to stay with me here... that if we had found out that W's grades were better than Kerry's it would have been harder to portray W as dumb. Call me crazy but I think the media didn't pursue this because it wouldn't have been helpful to Kerry's campaign. Yup, that's it.

God, I'm good.

Update: Soxblog and Ann Althouse say "I told you so."

Update II: Ranting Right Wing Howler has a great one on W and Kerry's respective Yale photos.

That article and headline were hilarious! I especially liked the sub-head about Kerry's grades being "on par" with Bush's, and the part about the professor who "vividly remembered" Kerry as a student (and didn't remember Bush) but when told the grades Kerry received in his courses said "Uh oh, those aren't very good grades."

The gap would have been wider but for:
1. Kerry's good French Grade
2. Kerry's A in Windsurfing
3. Bush's D in Rodeo
4. Bush's inability to pronounce nuuukalar.

LA Times article discusses release of Kerry's military record. . on page A 17, and NOT WORD ONE of the grades.
