The Decline of Western Civilization, Part 348
You have got to be kidding me.
(On the other hand, maybe I can start a movement to have Che Guevara T-shirts banned as offensive to people with more than half a brain. Think of the possibilities.)

Yeah, Europe really needs to grow a pair.
It's a cheap shot, I know, but I have the oddest feeling that the Brits hardly would have been so accommodating if a certain other pork-averse minority group had made the same request.
if a certain other pork-averse minority group
Jeff, you've nailed them on that!
I recently had an idea for finding terrorists at the border. You'd place a pork bbq sandwich on a Koran. Any "Mexican" who jumped out of line to rescue the book, could be arrested and investigated.
But now we know we can skip (and eat) the sandwich because a picture of Piglet will do. Yeesh.
Abadee Abadee Abadee.
That's all folks.

You trying to offend the pork averse and keep them off this blog?
Jeff,
Cheap shot or not, I think you're exactly right.
When I read links like the ones you posted, I have serious doubts about the future of England and whether it will seem at all familiar a generation from now. My trip there back in January didn't fill me with optimism. My friends, who were living in Cambridge, dealt with more street crazies and fear of crime in one year there than they had in D.C. in ten years. The other cities I visited also had a weird, unsafe feel to them, like American cities did during the 1970s. At least to this tourist, England felt totally out of control, in ways it didn't a decade ago.
Why ban Che Shirts when you can go to "Those Shirts" and get the "Commies Aren't Cool" Che shirt, or my favorite "Communism Killed 100 Million People And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt".
