This one's for you, Stewdog. Sing it with me:

"I've got it all,
it seems, for all it means to me,
But I sing of things I miss
and things that used to be.
And I wonder every night
if you might just miss me too,
And I sing for you,
I sing for you.

This one's for you wherever I go,
to say the things I should have said
things that you should know
This one's to say that all I can do
is hope that you will hear me sing
cause This One's For You."

...

"I made it through the rain
And kept myself protected;
I made it through the rain,
And kept my point of view.
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others whoooooooo
Got rained on toooooooo
And made it throooouuuugggghh!"

. . .

"At the Copa, Copacabana,
The hottest spot north of Havana,
At the Copa, Copacabaaaanaaaaa
Music and passion were always in fashion
At the Copa!
They fell in love..."

You know what? I'm bringing a karaoke machine and lots of Barry's music next time I come for a gathering at your house. You'll thank me.

Please stop.. I can't TAKE IT ANY MORE. Barry makes me appreciate Neil Diamond.
There are those who get Barry Manilow, and then there are the normal people.

There was one occasion where Barry Manilow music was appropriae. In the movie Serial Mom, she keeps listening to "Daybreak" over and over again. Perfect. . and great film, even features Patty Hearst wearing white shoes after Labor Day.
