And be sure to read the comments. They are great. I particularly appreciate the blogger who goes by "TedKenndeysliver".

The predictions are funny. I expect a full report on their accuracy from the Rumpus, as I will not be watching them.

SD, it is too bad that TedKenndeysliver isn't funny. Seems such a waste. But then again, he/it is boring, and that does fit.

Actually, all the liberal comments were pretty boring. Clearly their sense of humor doesn't go much beyond "Bush lied; people died."

Hey, CIV! Thanks for the articles -- I will read them as soon as I check Rumpus e-mail. And thanks for the link to the Peggy Noonan piece. I had read that one, and liked it a lot. There's so much I've been meaning to blog about over the past two weeks (I just got the Crunchy Con book and have been reading that and following the Crunchy debate, too) but it has been a busy time.

I think we should call on Wonderdog to live blog the Oscars. Every year I say I don't plan to watch, and every year I can't resist the call of the red carpet. :)

Stewdog, I always laugh at the comments Greg Gutfeld gets at HuffinPuffinstuff -- he drives the moonbats bats.

I sent that Noonan article to my Aunt,w ho is a good writer and "a lady". She had an interesting response: "Interesting. Yes, I think we've lost what the French called "courtoise." But I e-mailed her that, in my experience of helping train police recruits, several of them missed finding a pistol in a volunteer's bra because they were reluctant to "pat down" vigorously enough. On second thought, maybe those were the guys with courtoise."

Your aunt is a "good writer" but she sinks to using FRENCH? Ack!

(Just teasing, SD. CIV took a year of French, but just could not make those Frenchie sounds. Spanish went better, except for my inability to roll Rs. I never could do the Rrrrrrrruffles have rrrrrrridges commercial.)
