It is just classic. Apparently "Fag" is 'Venezuelian' for 'girlie man'.
The Mariotti dust up had to do with his treatment of a rookie pitcher who was ordered to plunk an opposing player and wouldn't. Meanwhile, Guillen gets suspended a day for having another pitcher throw at Chris Duncan, because one of the Cards' pitchers plunked two of the White Sox players. Now there is a dust up with the Cards' pitching coach, who happens to be Duncan's dad, who called Guillen a liar about the whole plunking affair.
You can't make this stuff up. Who needs soap opera?
