Goodbye To A Great One

I noted the passing of Glen Ford this week. He's an actor I have always liked. Nothing flashy, always solid, in the mold of William Holden. In spite of all his great earlier films, it will be the part of Jonathan Kent in Superman for which I will always remember him. Godspeed to you sir.

A 52 yr. career. He never won an Oscar, heck, he was never even nominated, but was in over 100 films. Great Westerns like "Fastest Gun Alive" to Drama's like " Blackboard Jungle",to one of my favorite and sometimes overlooked Capra film, " Pocket Full of Miracles".. But he'll always be Tom Corbett to me from "The Courtship of Eddie's Father"...my excellent strong man.
