Well, HJH, I am certainly glad you asked that. My varied experience with medical issues has that answer on the tip of my fingers. The term has its origion in the practice of urology, specifically ED treatment. Success results in a "swell", but if it is only transient, the patient experiences an unfortunate "foop".
