"Education Revolt in Watts"

Watch this video and weep. Sure, the forces of good score a small victory in the end, but I was struck more by the sheer oppressiveness of the bureaucracy, and the utter dishonesty and corruption of the "special interest" (i. e., teachers' union) involved.

The next time a Democrat rails against the stranglehold of special interests, and assuming the gnashing of teeth isn't just a cheap way to boost their "common man" cred, I'd like to see them include teachers' unions in their jeremiad.

The chances of that happening are about the same as . . . well, as the chances that the whining teachers in this video will ever turn in their lesson plans.
