As much as a I like the idea of Jimmy Carter out of the country, his ill advised trip to Syria is typical of the pokes in the eye he likes to give sitting Republican Presidents.

UPDATE: Jimma in defense of his meddling, apparently not understanding that he is an EX president and not involved in "the process":


"I feel quite at ease in doing this," Carter said. "I think there's no doubt in anyone's mind that, if Israel is ever going to find peace with justice concerning the relationship with their next-door neighbors, the Palestinians, that Hamas will have to be included in the process."
