Was away from home late and caught most of the debate on the radio. Home now and I've been able to catch the last 20 minutes on tv.
Reaction:
Lehrer looks like he's going to throw up. Kerry looks like a cadaver. W looks poised, confident and is presenting himself as the President of the United States and leader of the free world.
The defining moment of this debate was when Lehrer tee'd up the the ball for Kerry by asking him to expound on the "Bush lies". I could almost see Michael Moore stop bringing the donut to his mouth and pause his wheezing breath, awaiting Kerry's biggest moment of this campaign. Surely, here would come the roundhouse punch to solidify the liberals mantra of this campaign..."BUSH LIED!"...Then I heard Kerry begin to respond by saying something like, "Well...I never actually used that harshest of terms...." TKO.
Prediction is that W will enjoy double digits by the middle of next week.
