More Mary Cheney Flap

You can find the Democrat talking points on the defense of John Kerry's and John Edward's exploitation of Mary Cheney in this AP story:

But others said Kerry's comments seemed well within bounds, especially because Mary Cheney has been public about her sexuality and because her father has discussed it openly before.

This is so absurd. Sadly, the average American would be hard-pressed to even tell you who Dick Cheney himself is, much less who his daughter is. To the very small minority of political wonks in this country, Mary Cheney and her sexuality may have been a blip on the radar screen, but I'd be willing to bet that to the vast majority of Americans, the first time they even heard of Mary Cheney was when John Kerry mentioned her as a "lesbian" in the debate. That's why it was a serious breach of her privacy.

Sorry Dems and MSM, this excuse simply doesn't cut it. It's nothing but a claptrap, full of crap, slap in the face of decency. Go try that shtick on some chump who's buying.

By the way, regardless of whether or not our PC conditioned society was insulted by this, it's obvious by the comments of both Cheney parents that they were insulted. As far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters. Therefore, wouldn't you think that an apology is in order? Wouldn't that be the decent and honorable thing to do here, instead of the craven excuses and snide remarks such as the one from Elizabeth Edwards (John Edward's wife) in which she suggested that Lynn Cheney was "ashamed" of her daughter?

What a bunch of assholes.

Good God, haven't we learned anything? Aren't we passed this? The ethnicity of the Vice President's daugher is not fair game for politics. Burmese, Maltese, Japanese, LEBANESE. . who cares? And nice photo at the top there Scotty. You got the Stewdog's office there, and now I'm crying because no hockey and no Zita dinners.
