So tiresome, so predictable . . .
Media bias in calling elections? So what else is new? I'm sure some non-partisan, unbiased, objective Democratic operative has a perfectly logical explanation for this, but then they always do.

I heard on the radio last night (ABC network, not our local affiliate) that the exit polls were supposed to be secret and just for the networks but were leaked to the bloggers. Perhaps a way to influence the vote without the MSM getting their hands dirty?
But worse, they explained one reason the exit polls were so off: someone leaked the exit poll locations to moveon.org which then sent their people to those locations to cooperate with the exit poll takers! The person (whose name I didn't get) said it was not statistically possible to have exit polls so heavily urban and women unless someone was manipulating the system.
Alas, because this was not in print, I have no links to post as proof of what I heard. Perhaps google will yield up some info later.
Ouch! In today's column (One Last Flip-Flop), Ann Coulter blasts Karl Rove for the closeness of this election.
Perhaps as the aging anchor men on network news programs retire, and are replaced by younger people who were not steeped in the heady sense of power that the media acquired during the Vietnam war and Watergate, maybe there will be more emphasis on news in the news rooms.

Some people suspect they were leaked by Kerry supporters who may have hoped to discourage Bush voters -- to keep them away from the polls in states where the voting was still going on.
