Rumpus Welcome to Madman of Chu
A big Rumpus welcome to our dear friend, Madman of Chu, who will be guest-blogging at What's the Rumpus? whenever the mood strikes him. Madman is Andrew Meyer, a professor of history at City University of New York, and the proprietor of the excellent blog, Madman of Chu. He is an outstanding historian and an astute observer of culture, popular and otherwise. He's also a very funny guy (whether I mean "funny ha-ha" or "funny-strange" I leave it for our readers to decide). Welcome, Madman!

There goes the neighborhood. With our new addition and Kate Marie, we have TWO of us with a college degree.
Kate, you forgot to mention Madman's greatest accomplishment -- His impromptu and skillful performance as Master of Ceremonies at Wonderdog's wedding. He can also heckle the heck out of a left fielder at a ballgame -- "Ohhhh Caaaanada (Toronto was the visiting team) weee plaaaay left fiiieeeeld for theeee!"
Madman, you're most welcome here.

Shucks, thanks guys. Since Wonderdog's wedding I have had a profitable sideline business MC'ing bar mitzvah's, children's birthday parties, and Elk's Club meetings. Since Wonderdog's bachelor party I am one of the few Americans that requires a visa to enter Canada- and they won't issue me one until I write a formal letter of apology to that lady who was sitting two rows in front of us!
I can't remember the face of our new contributor, but I do recall his presence at the now infamous "Table 13", at the wedding of the Wonderdog and his Wonderbride.
Such a colletion of motley misfits the world has not seen since.
