Disaster Response

After watching all of the finger pointing, hand wringing, and mea culpas coming out of the response to the two recent Gulf Coast hurricanes, it is refreshing to witness the response out here in Southern California to the massive brush fire on the LA/Ventura County border. Three Thousand firefighters have worked to contain a 20,000 acre brushfire fueled by brush that hasn't burned in 30 to 50 years, Santa Ana winds, and temperatures up to 100 degree. The loss of property is minimal. . . of life, non existent. The response is professional and well organized and the actions of the personel downright heroic. Bravo!
