A Voice Of Reason

I was watching the News Hour on PMS. . .er. . PBS. . and lo and behold, who pops up on a panel discussing the Media's coverage of Katrina than Hugh Hewitt. At last, a reason to watch PBS.

SD, I've got an assignment for you. The ACLU wants more Abu Ghraib photos released. I think you should sue the ACLU for violating the Iraqi prisoners' rights to privacy. After all, we do not release the names of sexual assault victims in America. How much worse to release photos and movies of the assaults actually happening? Oh, sure, those Iraqis aren't Americans, but doesn't global justice demand that we extend our right to privacy -- something the Supreme Court found ensconced in our Constitution -- to everyone in our sphere of influence?
