Well. . then this may come as a shock to you, O sheltered one. They call Los Angeles "L.A.".
Kate. You hit on one of my pet-peeves. There are a slew of "West Siders" in my office who constantly refer to Orange County as "The OC". It's a testament to their provincialism.
They also call you 'lawyer' so I wouldn't take what any of them have to say too seriously.
