Joshua Tree

Stewdog is fleeing the dog house and shaking off the fleas for a few days. Heading to the desert to visit the 'rents' and take a drive through one of the most beautiful places in the winter, Joshua Tree National Park. If you haven't been there, put it on your list (and check it twice).

Just got back. Third or 4th trip out there. Got to use the 4 WD Subaru Forrester on some pretty beat up roads far away from the (small) crowds. It was just too beautiful to describe. It must be seen in person.

SD, when I first read your post, I thought you were some sort of slum lord heading out to check on the renters. But then I recalled reading somewhere that kids MUCH YOUNGER THAN YOU use the term to mean parents.

Hope you had a nice trip. Did you return home to all that rain I keep hearing about? Good thing you got the roof fixed.

We spent a rainy Christmas day inside, having taken care of our Christian duties on Christmas eve. All those snowy days before Christmas, and not a flake on the big day.

I'm Dreaming Of Wet Christmas, just doesn't have the same ring, does it. They keep threatening rain, but I'm still waiting. Roof is almost done. Bring it on.
Happy New Year to all.
