An Egyptian newspaper printed the cartoons five months ago?

Here's the story.

Yeesh. Why is it I have to read blogs to get the news? What are all those crack reporters in the West doing with their time? The cartoons were on the front page and they didn't notice? Thank God for the internet and bloggers. MSM reporters are too lazy.

I also recall seeing a year or so ago that the show South Park depicted Muhammad as a member of a league of superheroes consisting of great figures from world religions. No one seems to have spazzed out over that either.

These "spontaneous" riots are looking more and more like just a tactic of the terrorists.

Amir Taheri argued in a February 8 column in the WSJ:

The Muslim Brotherhood's position, put by one of its younger militants, Tariq Ramadan -- who is, strangely enough, also an adviser to the British home secretary -- can be summed up as follows: It is against Islamic principles to represent by imagery not only Muhammad but all the prophets of Islam; and the Muslim world is not used to laughing at religion. Both claims, however, are false.

Mr. Taheri then gave examples to back up his claim.
