Port Snort

So I'm thinking that all of the Dems who are suddenly so concerned about keeping America safe via our ports are now one hundred percent behind the NSA's wiretapping program, right? And I'm sure they're very much in favor of supporing our troops in protecting democracy in Iraq, right? And I'm sure they're not going to squawk about Bush's allocations in the budget for the military and national security, right?

Here's some irony for you. Remember how certain critics of the Bush administration accused them of discrimination against "brown" people when they took military action against Saddam's regime? Where are these people now when Democrats are discrimating against the UAE simply because they are of a "brown" persuasion? So I guess they're telling us all of those "ay-rabs" just can't be trusted.

Bush and his administration understand how important arab allies are in this war on terror. They understand how important a democratic Iraq is (yes brown people can be trusted). They understand that this is not a war against "brown" people but a war against a barbaric (yes I used the word) ideology regardless of how one looks.

But what do you think about the figure skating? We haven't heard a peep about your lovely crush Sasha Cohen. Do I have to email Scotty for an update?

Sasha was robbed! Okay so she fell on her arse a couple times but as the woman commentator said, "Some girls skate to Romeo and Juliet, Sasha IS Juliet."

I guess this means she poisoned herself after losing.

Hey, sorry WD. I know you were rooting for gold for Sasha.

I missed all the American skaters -- too late for me to stay up -- but got them on the VCR (or whatever you call the DVD/hard drive recorders). Yes, CIV allows a little television in the home every 2 years for the Olympics. We did catch that poor skater from Japan who fell four times during her routine. Yikes.

The freestyle skiing was pretty cool. How crazy do you have to be to take up that sport?
