I recently watched Spiderman 2. There's a scene at the end of the movie where Spiderman/Peter Parker says something like, "Sometimes, in order to do what's right, you have to stay steady and give up the thing you want most ... even your dream." It's a nice sentiment, and I certainly appreciate the punch to the solar plexis of the "follow your dreams" crowd, but shouldn't Peter Parker actually -- rather than in principle -- have to, you know, ... give up the thing he wants most? Just askin'.
