KM, it is time to break out the tofu and lentils. Nothing like healthy snacks to make the kids whine, "I don't want to go to Peanut's house! They have terrible food."

If that doesn't work, use the dog:
"Oh, Frank gets cranky after an hour or so of the kids running around. Can you be back in 45 minutes to pick up Suri (so the dog doesn't bite her)?"
"Frank hasn't had all his shots yet. Tree and Jazzy aren't susceptible to rabies, are they?"
