Boy you said it!..This reminds me so much of my Mom....as when I was growing up "Where is it AT"...used to send her into a fit!...her response was always the same...and I'd pay a lot of money if I could just hear it one more time from her..." Right before the AT".. LOL..

Where are you at, WD? The expression is Where you at? The "are" is not needed.

CIV, I tend to agree with you that the "are" was a bit excessive. And by the way, I'm at my computer at the moment.

Jeffery, the "y'ats" I believe are now merely the sound a cat makes whilst hacking up a hairball.
