Sin of omission

Caught the Monday Night Football halftime show which did an NFL tribute to 9/11. Curiously missing was any mention of Pat Tillman.

Call me crazy but you'd think he'd epitomize the NFL representation of honor and sacrifice in the face of September 11th.

Who goofed? I've GOT to know.
I suppose it could be forgiven because he didn't actually die on 9/11, but I agree with your point, WD.

My guess is they didn't want to bring his name up since it came out that he was killed by friendly fire..

SD, no he didn't die on 9/11 but it was the events of that date that prompted him to join the service.

Temp, the way in which he died in no way lessens his sacrifice in my mind. If he'd never enlisted, he'd have never even been endangered by friendly fire.
