Stew's Reviews
Kate Marie beat me to movie reviewing, but I actually rented a few over the holidays and report as follows:
The Lost City: Andy Garia's homage to Havana before the fall. Imperfect but that rare Hollywood film that trashes the commies, and has fantastic music. Not for the kids, but a pretty good watch.
The Devil Wears Prada: Loved this film. Rooted for Meryl Streep most of the way.
Little Miss Sunshine: OK film over which the critics have lost their minds. Great cast, little movie, big hype.
Jarhead: Full Metal Jacket Lite
Munich: This story needed a Chuck Norris go blow up the bad guys treatment. Instead we get major moral equivalence and Spielberg hand wringing, plus the lead, Eric Bana, is as boring in this as he was in Troy.
