By the way...

Has anyone figured out what "Codology" means yet? Or that "first in blue" riddle? I'm still stumped...

The correct answer for the "codology" portion is:
The study of the archaic postal service option "Cash On Delivery" and how often it was actually implemented.

The riddle's answer is somewhat muddied. I will admit that I had to look this one up, at which point, it became quite apparent.

The answer is "blok". I scratched my head, then went to www.dictionary.com and typed in those four letters. The result was the poet Alexander Alexandrovich. Now, going with the fact that poets write down their work on paper, that would account for the "leaves". Reading poetry will help pass the time, of course.

(Originally, I had assumed it was "book", but then I figured it couldn't be as simple as that.)

Clever. Oh so very clever. You're all always challenging us to view the world around us in a different way! I, for one, am looking forward to another brain teaser like this.

Wonderdog, besides not expecting you to figure them out anyway...I don't think you're funny in the least. ;)

Lisa, I'm happy to announce that Rumpus is soon to have a new look! While I'm going to try to keep the riddle fresh and new, I'm afraid the Word of the Day is going to have to go the way of 'Frank's Corner', 'Gandalf's Corner' and soon to go 'Napoleon's Current Event'. I'll be sad to see them go!
