Bush's state headquarters for re-election burglarized

Interesting story from the Seattle Times...hmmm. I was kind of ho-humming this story in a sort of "what can you do?" mode while reading it, but then this quote from State Democratic Party spokeswoman Kirstin Brost struck me:

"There was nothing for us to gain by stealing those computers. Their secret plan isn't so secret."

Doesn't that sound a bit defensive to you? "Nothing for us to gain"? In case you haven't linked the story, here's what was stolen:

"Missing are the computers used by the campaign's executive director, the head of the get-out-the-vote effort and one that had been set for delivery to the campaign's Southwest Washington field director..."

Nope. Nothing in them there computers that could be useful to you eh, Ms. Brost?

Have we found "Lucy Ramirez" yet?

No sign of Lucy yet. Hey Scotty, can you set up a "Lucy Ramirez Watch" similar to Frank's Corner. We can run it until the election with a caption "Where's Lucy? and a picture of a shadow with a question mark and update it daily as to how many days she has been held hostage (a la Tedd Koppel)
