Morning Report
With the advancement in Fallujah going so well, it begs the question -- why didn't we do this sooner? Could it be all of those "war is not the answer" bumper stickers I see are wrong? Nah. I mean what has war ever solved? Okay, okay so it gave birth to our great nation, what else? Okay, okay, so it preserved our Union in the fight to free slaves. What else? Okay, okay, so it liberated Europe and prevented what would now be the sixth decade of rule by the Third Reich. But what has it done for us lately huh? Okay, okay, so it's stomping out murderers who would otherwise see our children dead. But it's just not the "answer" okay! The answer is to hold hands and sing Kumbaya, damn it! Because, c'mon, the islamo-fascists would see the error of their ways, drop the severed heads in their hands, and start singing with us. All we are saaaaaying, is give creeps a chaaaaaaaance...
"It needs but one foe to breed a war, not two, Master Warden, and those who have not swords can still die upon them." -- Eowyn from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings
What else? Oh, it seems our troops have now come upon hostage slaughter houses in Fallujah. Sigh. This story might tweak some minor outrage from the Kumbaya crowd -- the term "slaughter house" I'm sure gives knee-jerk indignation to the PETA folks -- but, alas, unless we're talking the inability of chickens to roam free, I'm afraid slaughter houses that kill actual people just don't register with this crowd.
I see Bush has appointed another minority to a role of prominence. What a bigoted, moronic, fascist, imperialist, bible thumping, asshole he is!!
And then there's the Dutch. This is how a liberal and tolerant, peace-loving-at-all-costs society deals with terrorism when it finally hits home:
The anger is such that for the second time in two days an Islamic elementary school was attacked Tuesday, this time in Uden, part of what Dutch authorities fear are reprisals after van Gogh's killing, The Associated Press reported.
Unable to muster the resolve to face the real threat and soon to pull out of Iraq, they instead resort to a repressed hissy fit and attack an Islamic Elementary school. Hey Hans, you want to do some damage to terrorists? Follow me to Fallujah. Better yet, we'll kill Zarqawi and you just stay there and pull the braids on those little brown girls at recess okay?
Unfrigginbelievable.
