The Wrong Churchill
Ward, not Winston:
Seems that a professor at Boulder, CO has had to step down from his administrative position as the chaiman of the Ethnic Studies Department. (What the hell is that anyway? "Bring the next one in. . look him over. . yep, he's Phillipino. . .NEXT").
He was invited to speak about at Hamilton College in NY about Columbus Day (aka a celebration of Eurocentric Genocide) when some perfessers there actually read some of the drivel this forward thinker wrote, to wit:
SOME PEOPLE PUSH BACK: ON THE JUSTICE OF ROOSTING CHIKENS
Calling some of the workers who perished in the inferno of the WTC on 9/11 "Little Eichmanns", he said that "Trade Center employees were 'technocrats of empire' working for the 'engines of profit' and as such were inevitable targets. .. . They were civilians of a sort, but innocent, gimme a break."
It gets better. A civil rights attorney who defended him in a Columbus Day case said that
"Tenure means never having to say you're sorry. The 1st Amendment protects faculty members like anyone else. Ward Churchill can say basically whatever he wants, and if everyone in society is outraged, then it's too bad for everyone in society. The importance of what he said got lost in the words he chose to use in putting his message out."
It should be noted that some of the victim's families have nothing to feel guilty about, since Perfesser Churchill noted that children, janitors, food service workers and fire fighters killed in the Trade Center were not little Eichmans".

But then, uh, wouldn't that guy representing the good professor be a "little Eichman" himself?
