Is the U.S. gaining "recruits" in the Muslim world?

Charles Krauthammer, in a recent Time magazine article disputing the notion that America is less safe since its invasion of Iraq, has suggested that if we accept the possibility that terrorists are gaining recruits because of our actions in Afghanistan and Iraq, we must also consider the possibility that the U.S. is gaining recruits to the anti-Islamist cause. His conclusion: "I'll take our recruits."

This recent survey appears to underscore his case.
