Roberts nomination stymies the Left

The consesus seems to be that Dubya hit not only a home run with Roberts but a grand slam. He is a solid conservative, ethical, deeply intellectual, well-liked jurist who has already been confirmed unanimously by the senate to the D.C. Circuit. How can Chuck Schumer and Barbara Boxer scream now when they've already voted to confirm him once already?

Bush has shown again his ability to adhere to his core convictions and be politically adept at the same time. The Left may call him stupid if they like but he always seems to be one step ahead of them. Their saber-rattling leading up to this nomination has been exposed as just that. It's time for the silly foot soldiers of the Left to make an about face now and find some other granite foundation of democracy upon which to wonk their hollow, plastic swords.

I'm disappointed. I wanted some good entertainment to supplant the drek on tv this summer.
I wanted him to nominate Karl Rove.
