The Real Season Is Ready To Start

That would be tomorrow, Monday October 3, A/K/A the First Monday In October. This will ring in a new season for the United States Supreme Court. It promises to be an exciting year as they square off against the Executive and the Legislative branches of the US Government League. In scouting the starting 9, the player most worth watching will be rookie John Roberts, who did his AAA judging in DC. Center Fielder Sandy O'Connor has indicated that she will retire when the farm system is ready to bring up another player who can get past the watchful eyes of the coaches and Monday morning quarterbacks. Anton Scalia is expected to be the cleanup hitter, and can hopefuly carry the water of Punch and Judy hitters like "Babe" Ruth Ginsberg, and the David "Strikeout" Souter, who always seems to hover around the Mendoza Line. It will be a brief season, but promises to have lots of appeal. Play ball!

UPDATE: OCTOBER 3: Harry Myers has been brought up from AA Washington and Sandy O'Connor has been placed on waivers.

DEE DEE MYERS????
DEE DEE MYERS????
Has Bush 43 lost his marbles?
Picking the White House Press secretary under Clinton to be a US Supreme Court Justice? I don't even think that she is a lawyer.
What? . . . Oh. . THAT Miers?
Nevermind.

CIV is very disappointed. I was looking forward to a Conservative nominee, a big shoot-out in the Judiciary Committee, and a good chance of "going nuclear."

Well, there is lots to talk about, that is for sure. One school of thoght is that Bush doesn't have the political capital to fight right now. That's bunk. He's saying trust me on this. She's sure to sail through.
