Neighbors cheered and sang the "Cops" theme after police raided a funeral home they say doubled as a crack house.
Several of those inside the funeral home frantically tossed crack into caskets when officers burst in Thursday night and arrested 16 people, including the owner and his girlfriend, who were suspected of running a drug ring out of the business.
Neighbors had complained of finding partly nude corpses in plain view or discovering people sleeping in some of the rooms, District Attorney Louise Sira said.
Forty-five city, county and state police officers raided the home, confiscating cocaine, marijuana, cash and knives.
As police led the suspects out, a crowd that had gathered chanted the refrain from the TV show "Cops": "Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?" A huge cheer erupted when a bus took the suspects away, Sira said.
Steven E. Blomquist, the 48-year-old owner of the Hollenbeck Funeral Home, was charged with drug possession and other offenses and was jailed on $150,000 bail.

Here it is election eve and the Rumpus are AWOL. Paris is burning, part of Indiana blew apart, bird flu is going to kill us all, and the left coast is napping. Yeesh.
Well, I kept up my part recently, but the Dog Of Wonder is hugely AWOL with the new job and 2 kiddos in the house, and the last I heard of Kate Marie, she saw the new Steve Martin movie and might not be the same person who went into the theatre.
I look forward to tomorrow. . when the political ads cease.
As to Paris. . I already blogged on that. . . some call it a Civil War, but it is hardly civil and can't be a war if French "troops" can't fire back. You reap what you sow.
