If it looks like a christmas tree

Speaker of the House Denny Hastert is out of control. He's seriously recommending that the spruce tree being erected on the grounds of the Capitol in the month of December, decorated with lights and ornaments, be called -- get this -- a "Christmas" tree. The insanity doesn't end there. It seems he's also insisting that the Congressional "holiday" dinner dish, which consists of a cooked water fowl that quacks and waddles, be referred to as roast "duck".

Can you imagine George Bailey shouting "Happy Holidays, Mr. Potter!"? Or Dudley the Angel decorating a "Holiday Tree" in "The Bishop's Wife"? Or Francie and Nealy lugging the "Holiday Tree" they won to their Brooklyn tenement?
