Out and About

*The joyful Curmudgeon ponders what separates us from the beasts and pop-stars.

*Jeff at Quid Nomen Illius wonders whether home is where the fluff is.

*Ross Douthat pans the Da Vinci reviewers.

*Dr. Nokes at Unlocked Wordhoard discusses the Ward Churchill report.

*The Weekly Standard has a great review of a new book called Auden and Christianity.
(Thanks to Jeff for the heads up.)

*Wonderdog, apparently, has too much time on his hands. I must say, though, that if you grabbed Tom Hanks' cheeks and squished them together really hard for a long time, and if his face stayed that way, well . . .

*Jeffery Hodges at Gypsy Scholar just got an invitation through the mail . . . and nothing now can take the wind out of his sails.

Jeffery, what are the students doing serving wine anyway? Aren't they underage?

(For the record, CIV believes the drinking age should be 18.)

Actually, the servers looked like university employees, but students are allowed to drink when they're 18 -- or so it seems.

Of course, by law, they're allowed to drink only Soju and bad Western wines...

Oops. I didn't see that you are in Seoul. That's funny because my first thought when I read your invitation was that it sounded like it was written by my Korean friends.
