Shameless Plug...
...for one of my personal favorite movies
"Hear My Song". Without hyping it too much, I can only say that it is unquestionably the "Citizen Kane" of picaresque Irish tenor romantic comedies. Great performances by Adrian Dunbar, Tara Fitzgerald, and Ned Beatty. Not as yet available on DVD, ergo this post. Evidently if you click on the above link and register your appreciation of the film on Amazon it will have some effect in hastening its release on DVD (before the five minutes left before the format becomes obsolete run out). I thought other Rumpusers, even if they don't share my love of this particular piece of celluloid, might be interested in "voting" for other hard-to-come-by films. I, at least, wasn't aware one could do so.

Thanks, Madman. I'm ashamed to say I've never actually seen this one. It looks great, though.
I'll do my best to tout the other worthy hard-to-come-by movies, too.
Saw this one, Madman. Great film. Beaty hasn't sung so well since he squealed like a pig.
How is it that Wonderdog has seen this gem but Kate Marie is not? I agree, Wonderdog, so much so that I bought the soundtrack on CD. Though the writers have never admitted so publicly, I think they might have envisioned the movie as a sort of "homage" to "Deliverance."
