Just when is a Daryl Hannah in season?
This will update the farm story in LA. The owner got an order evicting the holdover tenants from his property and the usual suspects are up in arms.
There is an aspect of this case that is troublesome, but not so troublesome as the doo gooders sticking their nose in where they should have stuck their wallets in long ago. At this point, the owner wanted nothing to do with the farmers, their attorneys and their activists.

Why is it that celebrities always want to use Other People's Money for their pet causes? What do they think they are, congressmen?
So let me get this straight...the following is a list of supporters for the purchase and continuation of this farm at 41st St and Alameda. Willie Nelson, Joan Baez, Danny Glover, Amy Smart, Laura Dern , Ben Harper,Leonardo DiCaprio, Ed Harris, Mariel Hemingway, Rosanna Arquette, Martin Sheen, Christine Lahti and Cheech Marin, and rockers Anthony Keidis and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Morello of Audio Slave and Michelle Shocked.... and they couldn't come up with the 16 Million that the owner was asking for?....are you KIDDING ME?...hell DiCaprio ALONE could have footed the bill on this thing if he really believed it to be such a worthwhile cause! Don't get me wrong...I wish that this city farm could have gone on the way it has for the last 14 years or so...but the man who owns this land has a right to do with it as he pleases...and it would seem from the article here, that he just found the people he was dealing with a bit unworthy of his time and trouble.. Our press happy mayor is sure taking some heat on this one huh?...well just goes to show you that there is some good in everything!
Don't fret over the loss of the farm to the evil baby seal clubbers. There are other places where you can grow crops and climb trees. In particular, there is a stagecoach stop in Colorado and a house in Malibu that are bound to be more than welcoming, since these are the places where Daryl Hannah lives. I'm sure she'd love for you to drop by.
