Aaaarghhhh!
This story in the New York Times gives me a terrible sinking feeling. I would suppose my reaction makes me an effete intellectual, except that instead of feeling smug superiority or ironic resignation reading it makes me want to bang my head against a brick wall till it cracks open.

Madman, Jeff Stein is clearly a bigot. How often does he need to be told that Al Qaeda does not represent Islam, a religion of peace?
Osama bin Laden may claim to be a Sunni (or a follower of Wahhabism or Salafism), but I bet many Sunni would disagree.
Still, even CIV has taken the time to memorize Shia=Iran.
