It's the anniversary of the speech that contained that famous line. Many of Reagan's advisers, including Colin Powell, urged him not to say it. Many others, I'm sure, sneered at Reagan's naive and irresponsible rhetoric.

One of the great quotes of the 20th century. Funny how rarely it's quoted...hmmm...you don't suppose it has something to do with the man who said it do you? Nah.
