Yes, it's true. Sadeeq and the girls and I have moved to the heartland. Sadeeq took a job that allows him a lot more time to spend with us. I'm hoping the rest of my family will forgive me, as we'll be back in Los Angeles often (Thanksgiving, Christmas, lots of time in the summer, etc.).
We're bordering on misery in Jayhawk country -- Olathe, KS.
Sorry they didn't last longer in the playoffs. Maybe next year.
In case you were wondering, yes, everything is up to date here.
I grew up in the midwest and wish I could go back. It wasn't ever the trendiest, but people didn't seem to mind. You made do with what was available.
I hope your move went well, Ms. Kate Marie. And I hope you were pulling our proverbial legs when you said "I'm hoping the rest of my family will forgive me". It's tough enough moving your own little family, let alone getting grief from close family members for it.
Best wishes to the four of you as you create many happy memories in your new home! :)
My husband is actually a Midwesterner, so I know how nice the Midwest is.
Yes, I was pulling your leg about gettng grief. We all do miss each other, though. Part of the plan, though, is that we'll be spending Thanksgiving, Christmas, and large chunks of the summer in California.
And thank you for your condolences about the Angels. Darn Red Sox. I liked them a lot better when they were still cursed!

Really? You've moved? Secretly? To KC? In Kansas or in that state of misery?
Of course, Kansas ain't much better, seeing as how it borders on misery.

They are channeling the "Border Ruffians" from pre Civil War days.
I'll always be an Angels fan, though.
