Here's what I took away from tonight's debate:

Senator Government wants to take away Joe the plumber's money.

There it is. There's your next three weeks, McCain campaign. Say it over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

Say it soft: Sarah Palin motions at tomorrow's rally for the cheering crowd to be silent and take a step closer. She then looks around surreptitiously, cups her fingers around her mouth and whispers..."Did you hear? Senator Government wants to take away Joe the plumber's money...pass it on."

Say it loud: Sarah Palin begins her next rally with a rousing pronouncement -- "Senator Government wants to take away Joe the plumbers money!" Crowd then chants in rousing unison -- "Leave Joe alone! Leave Joe alone! Leave Joe alone!"

You get the idea. And by the way, I'm dead serious.
