Yes, it is that time again when the brush around LA catches fire and is fanned by hurricane force winds.
Thanks for your concern, CIV. We here in the San Fernando Valley are fine. We were in a clear window for most of yesterday, but we ran out of luck last night and have been in a nasty smoke cloud since. It is our snow day. Keep the windows closed and don't go out. This too will pass!
