Rumpus Riddle Answer #7

I really liked this riddle when I found it.

Never ahead never behind,
Yet flying swiftly past;
For a child I last forever,
For adults I'm gone too fast.
What am I?

The answer is Childhood.

Thank you to all who submitted an answer. Some other good guesses came from a couple of you who guessed that 'time' was the answer and Tim guessed 'the present year' which is an interesting guess as well.
