Chris Hayward

The Sunday LA Times featured an obit for Chris Hayward, who died at 81, but you need to register to read the story. By now you are scratching your head wondering, who the heck is Chris Hayward? We'll, for my money he was a writer who had a hand in creating some of the funniest stuff of my generation. Watch a rerun of the Munsters and appreciate the wit of the writing and the set up. Did you like Barney Miller? Laugh at Get Smart? Well he had a hand in all of those, but more importantly, he left his mark in comedy cartoons with the Bullwinkle Show and all the shows within a show that were presented therein.
Thanks for tickling our funny bones with insightful and intelligent humor!

And yesterday Joseph Barbera died at the ripe old age of 95. Hanna-Barbera was THE animation and cartoon place to be for my entire childhood. The Flintstones, Tom and Jerry, Scooby Doo, and my personal favorite..The Jetsons..all came from this creative genius and his partner. A long and wonderful life to cherish and admire.
