It's not this man's world anymore, and we're all the poorer for it. He takes his place among the Eternals who made America what it is, but he probably found that a bum rap. There is too much raw life in his song to leave much doubt but that he left cussing and screaming. Goodbye, James Brown. Whatever anyone may ever say of you, your music made my world a better place.
